Forgotten

Sitting in the hallway at lunch she sees him once again.
His cold blue eyes see right through her,
he refuses to help, but he can see her pain
Looking into his eyes she sees how they held no emotion,
his eyes were nothing more then deep dark pits
not allowing a single tear to fall.

He was once so emotional so full of life and happy,
but now that is all gone, he just doesn’t care.
They just stare blankly into each other’s eyes
not knowing what to say to one another.
He was standing so straight, so alert
like he was scared that he would get hurt.
She reached out and hugged him, he held her so tight.

The love they once shared was back again,
for that split second she was happy,
the love she thought she no longer wanted.
She pushed him away for he was with another girl now.
For a minute she thought she saw some emotions
Coming back to his cold dark blue eyes.

She wasn’t missed by that boy she once loved
he didn’t care and she knew it all along.
She turned her back to him and walked away
just like he had done to her once before.
The words I love you ran through her mind
for just months ago he was whispering them to her.

She kept on walking not allowing herself to look back.
She never did she never looked back to see if he was okay,
because he never took the time to see if she was okay
or the time to help her when she fell so hard.
He was all about him self  and no one else
And she had put herself through enough

Walking down the chilling halls with noone around to hear her pleas
She sat and cried her beautiful eyes out but not allowing another tear to fall,
she remembered how he walked away and how much it hurt.
She put on the smile and walked away hurt, fragile broken hearted and scared
she never looked back on that day but they were her last steps
She was the girl he walked away from, the one he forgot all about.

I liked this because I think almost anyone can relate. I can imagine someone looking back on words that were just said days ago, or moments that had just occured weeks before, that don't exist anymore, and will never exist again. Good write.

Thank you for entering and good luck!
