Her Suffering Heart

I watch her day in and day out
Watch cry alone
No shoulder to lean on
Her tears fall slowly
From Crystal blue eyes
When she talks and smiles
She seems happy, no problems
But deep down inside she’s in pain

I listen to her talk
Her voice masked
No trace of hurt or sorrow
She hides so much
A burden she carries
She’s there for others
But no ones is there for her
She moves like nothings wrong
And thinks no one is paying attention

I know when she’s alone
She sits and cries
Her family doesn’t hear her but I
As one of the cousins that actually cares
I try and help
But she avoids all open hands
Says nothings wrong
With a smile she moves on
I can’t do anything to help

I’m there for her to listen
I’m there for her to cry
We share the same blood
The same bond
I wish she would let the few that actually care
Into her suffering heart
To help ease some of her pain
She’s been through so much
More than your average person
But she doesn’t let anyone know
Because she’s so trapped inside

I don’t know how to help
This unfortunate soul
Don’t know how to untie those wings
So that she can fly free

Author notes

This is about my cousin. She's going through a pretty rough time right now and doesn't seem to know that there are people who care about her and see that she's in pain. Her "friends" say they care, but aren't truly there for her. She's always lending a shoulder to cry and doesn't ask anything in return. She's a strong girl but shouldn't have to live her life alone and to carry such a heavy burden.

    wow this is realy sad,im sorry bout ur cousin,she seems like an angel, hope u can get her to open up,maybe try relating to her pain or show somethin that makes her know that people care, a very touching piece for ur cuz,keep on writing

      Thats funny that you call her an angel because her name on AP is Tears-of-an-Angel. And I'll do what I can with her. If you want you can talk to her. She doesn't have the friends that she thinks she has. they all don't even really talk to her anymore. But I thank you for the comment. Greatly appreciated.
