I Love You

You asked me why I love you
And all the words left my head,
I’m not sure why or how,
So here is a poem for you instead.

How about when I’m with you
And how you make me feel
I know our time is short
These precious moments we steal.

But when I’m with you
The ticking clock, slowly fades away
Until I see only you
Nothing stands in my way

These precious moments we steal
Mean the world to me
They give me a piece of you
I wouldn’t trade for anything

I’m ready to make that promise
The one that gives us forever
This is what I want most
Nothing could make me happier

To you my one and only
I give you all  my heart
Some how you knew this to be
Right from the beginning,
Right from the start

The path we’ve chosen
Wont be soft, it wont be easy
But as long as I have you
I know we can get through anything

Most of the time, your not here physically
But your with me heart, mind and soul
The other half that completes me,
The only one that makes me whole

So this is the “proof” you asked for
I hope this is enough
Because I would only do this
For the one man I love
