A collection of Haiku Like Styles (7-5-7): Life

Life isn’t what you make it
It is what it is,
Words are only an echo.

Tread lightly with small footsteps
Let no one word sound
Only now can we listen.

Pain is equal by two joys
Cries lay between them
So why can’t we see others.

They say actions are better
That words are deadly
It takes both to work.

A path we choose will be long
We hear that a lot
When will we believe it.

Though life will seem to betray
And all hope is lost
It’s only an Illusion.

Author notes

I wanted to do Haiku, but I did another style like it instead because it worked better.

    Interesting

Although I don't necessarily agree with all of your Haiku type poems here, they all bring very interesting thoughts forward in my brain. For example, your first Haiku about life, I don't agree with. Life is what we make it, although don't get me wrong. Life throws a lot of stuff at us that we aren't necessarily supposed to understand, but our lives are still our own. Recently I began to understand that.

And on another point, your final Haiku touches me. I really like it, because of the pains that I have been going through in my life over the past few months. It's only an illusion, and eventually it will pass.

Jolly good show, and well done.
