Senryu

soft inscriptions
Love moving hearts beyond fear
dying in rebirth

(ii)

Compassion Crucifies

she seems to be so out of place
searching
she finds him in a trance
intoxicated by bitter elixer
spilled
by moans of mindless minds
his heart impoverished
by sheer glance

she turns away
to flee with silver pathways
from this crimson hell
but whimpers
by tearful souls
captured her soul:
no freedom for her tender heart
or freedom from this bloody spell

nailed to agony
she also dies
- again -
for them

Prelude

on reading me
please cleanse your hands
of memories
then touch
the pages of my soul
so sacredly

feel then my whispers
with your lips
pronounce me
tenderly

let tears fall
softly
punctuating phrases
of my thoughts
rewrite the Sentence of my life
for it is blurred
by sorrow's blunt inversions
my dreams are drifting
without metrum
towards postscript's exit line

be careful
when you page my eyes
for you are blind

(iv)

Intimacies

some words
are too fragile
to remember

it must stay
forgotten memories
lingering in Oblivion

awaiting
the return
of its soul

soft kisses
of secrets
upon Silence

Baptized

a Dove
called my name
my soul fluttered
kissed
by Love

myra

(vi)

Listen Love

listen Love
lips tell more
by not telling

rather
:

feel my thoughts
with your thoughts
read my dreams
with your dreams
translate my soul
with your soul

for I fear
mere words

words
sound so wordlike

myra

Starbound

i am known by the Star
i follow His shimmer
and He answers me
within my heart

last night He guided me
and once again
tonight

Path of Stars

she answered
but upon the breeze
the words were set ablaze
and long before
the wake of dawn
stars died within the maze

but on eastern horizon
a brilliant Light was born
it beamed a pathway
to the Heart
for those sad and forlorn

I need a place to put this photograph,
    somewhere safe,
    outside of strife, or changes,

changes most of all, I think.

Do you see, the way the fingers touch the book?
Long and elegant tenderly, as if it were fragile?
And the way her hair falls, wrapping everything?

The white bright light of never changes
    shines within it all,
    I would not change it,

and always, without changes, you see,
you will wonder what her eyes know.
    And how she changes.

bitter elixer spilled by moans of mindless minds
    I love that line!

and “please cleanse your hands of memories”
oh the baggage we bring with us to relationships.
it’s a wonder any of us ever find happiness, but
how sweet it is when someone rewrites the sentence
    of our life.

feel my thoughts with your thoughts... such a thing
is rare and usually, when it happens, you have found
    a true soul mte.

    beautiful collection.

    Brilliant!!

Myra...Extremely beautiful collection. And, your poetry is also very spiritual and soothing. It always points the way to the Lover of my soul and yours. Thank you for your comments on "Fawn Eyes." I really felt the words in my soul with this one. And, I feel it with your beautiful collection of poems. *Ivy Rose

there are many degrees of sight as there are many degrees of blindness

    some words
    are too fragile
to remember... this is so... profound! I am constantly struggleing to remember things, and this is the first time I ever thought that maybe some things are just too... fragile to remember... an awesome thought... now I won't feel so bad, and I will think of this the next time I forget something.

    words
sound so wordlike... this made me smile, and it made me think of the part of Hamlet when Polonius asks him what he is reading and he relies, "Words, words, words."

Thank you for explaining to me about the first half. I was afraid I was taking it too literaly. You are an origional thinker and an extraordinary writer.

These are all very beautiful, and deeply touching

I love that pretty picture, it's you, right?

    My favorite:

    Intimacies

    some words
    are too fragile
    to remember

    it must stay
    forgotten memories
    lingering in Oblivion

    awaiting
    the return
    of its soul

    soft kisses
    of secrets
    upon Silence

    Love and Hugs,

    Karen

    I hope you'll not consider it a blasphemy, but I'm inspired by the picture;

    flagging love cuts me
where are you my fragile sun
    visiting time past

    be careful
    when you page my eyes
for you are blind . Woww. Very deep.
Intimacies- simply wonderful. And so interesting that a poet says this. Maybe this is why they say that the poet is a failed sculptor.

I see much sorrow and pain here. I see a battered woman, trying to hids from an abuser who keeps finding her. First her spirit dies, and she gives up trying to escape, and then her body dies at the hands of her tormentor. Or is it symbolic, and I am taking it too literaly? Either way, it is a powerful piece, with amazing imagery.

    she turns away
    to flee with silver pathways
    from this crimson hell

Beautiful words Myra from a kindred soul. Succint and powerful. How tragically true that many dwell in fear until love sets them free, but so be it. So let's hear if for love!!
