The Loss of a Child

In her eyes
where the soul is present
light was gone
in its place
were colors unbareable
to look at,
sadness so thick
it could not be
penetrated
no words can enter.

Her life will
go on
unchanged to the eye
yet never the same,
surrounded
by her reality
so far
from her touch
inside locked up tight
are her memories.

Sealed with
tremendous love
tremendous pain
entwined together
never again
will she feel one
without the other.

This poem is so personal deep and touching. The pain here is so much and so moving in so many different ways.

This poem is beautifully written, and truthful, the emotions really come through. A touching portrait of loss, and how grief intertwines love and pain in memory.

Although the poem is of loss, I liked the fact that there are memories to be looked at. I felt the last verse dont know how to say it.... I just connect with it.

    So true of loss

"Her life will go unchanged to the eye" "tremendous love and tremendous pain" Is that part true that she will never feel the one without the other? I hope not and I do feel for her.
