I walked along the seashore and dreamed of many things
A figure flew before me, a man with dragon wings.
His tail fell down to touch me, it's scales were tinged with gold
I stroked it for a moment, then took a firmer hold.
He lifted me so gently, then placed me on his head
Then off we flew together and not one word was said
I clung to him so tightly, my heart was free and light
I saw then in the distance a clear and wondrous sight.
A medieval island was waiting there for me
A wizard of distinction stood by a crystal tree.
He smiled to me in greeting,he looked so very wise
The fact I stood before him, it came as no surprise.
He took me to a courtyard where faeries played a tune
The stars made a bright entrance and danced around the moon
A rainbow shone in glory and held it's treasure tight
For it held all my wishes, they'd all come true tonight.
I'd never felt such pleasure as in this world I stood
I didn't understand it, perhaps I never would
My only word was "thankyou", for nothing else could say
How much I loved this vision that came to me today.
I walked along the seashore, my dreams had all come true.
For I would return quickly, just when I needed to.
Now nothing could disturb me or make me cry again
For I had found true meaning within the dragon's den.

A delightful poem, I really wanted more.
It reminds me of the Rupert Bear stories I read as a child. The language you used was soft i.e. touched, gentle, stroked, light and free. -
very flows and it has a nice imagenery!! best of luck

-
i also thought this poem was about dragon's den the programme. i love the the rhyming scheme, it makes the eye flow over it easily.
