Smiles everywhere silently inspire
'The Open Hand' to fulfil everyone's desire,
Blessings rain more than anyone can aspire.

Good clothes,great food and clean place,
a happy, healthy and excited face,
an unsuppressed joy among human race
are the most common sights one can trace.

As the day of Eid begins to descsend,
the atmosphere seems more quietened,
No more preparations to suspend.
A little sleep before the day ascends.

With Eid Prayer just minutes away,
the chants of "LABAIK" sound like a lay.
A beautiful start to a wonderful day
and alms for the poor leave nothing to say.

When all the important things are done,
then comes the time for kids' fun.
They go around grouped together as one,
collecting gifts and greeting everyone.

People meet each other, give parties.
Visit, invite, picnic as the please.
This occasion helps everyone increase
love and understanding for another's ease.
