Secret Lunacy

Her aqua glare...

a startling wave
of determination
swept through
the boisterous
brainsick
crowd

that provoked her secret lunacy.

Pretending
in her sanity suit of armor
that she was
uncrackable.

I see it as that determination to rise to the level of the madness, to meet it head on, to disguise out fears or shortcomings and try to battle against society's strident gaze.

    Very well written.

I loved this. It takes talent to fit so much meaning into so few words. Good luck in the contest.

Thank you for reading this piece. This is really the first time I've attempted to say more with less, so to speak. I'm glad you liked it.

Some people wear masks. You have a whole suit. Makes me think of the tin man and wonder just why he was the tin man to begin with.
