Unfinished collage

With frenzied eagerness
she jigsaws herself together
from pieces culled over a lifetime
until each settles into place.

Floral flaked memories
blotch drops of white
over coarse scarlet sketch
until each fits into place.

Lifetime’s uncompleted treasures
re-awakens sullenness’ gloom
in final encore’s loss
until each safely into place.
