you say your cold heart's made of stone;
you hide your love and live alone...
I try getting close, but you build a wall;
love in a small dose; you just need to crawl...
give me a chance to open your heart;
come on let's dance; where else should we start??
once you're able to let your love out;
atop the mountains you'll hear me shout...
you need not live your life alone;
i'll prove your heart's not made of stone...
take care of us and love me tender;
devotion to you I will render...

First off, welcome to AP! I love to see poets new to the site in my contests, and I hope you'll enjoy as many happy hours here on AP as I have.

I really enjoyed the simplicity of this poem. It brings across a clear message, and one I'm sure many can relate to. Stone-cold hearts so often come from heartbreak, and I've always believed a new love is the best cure for that.
Thank you for a lovely entry, and good luck to you in the contest.
