    Very unique interpretation of the quilt-block pattern, Petes. I wasn't quite sure what I saw in this pattern when first clicking the image up--(if I'm not mistaken I think it was something of "geese" though I don't recall offhand), but now I can see both fingertips/wing-tips touching.

    Really beautiful haiku, and thank you so much for this entry to the contest and contribution to the haiku-quilt!
