Autumn Garden Dance

Into the garden I was drawn;
white light cast shadows on the lawn
where fairies danced and did beguile
with wild enchantment in their smile.

They danced upon October rose
with petals falling round their toes
while glitter from the Koi pond shown
and sparkled on the leaflets thrown.

The moon in full presented this,
a garden dance I dared not miss
as I arose late in the night
to see such fairy dance delight.

Quite carefully I peered about
and moved with cautious step in doubt
of what my eyes were blessed to see,
in moonlight shining down on me.

And as I peered I caught the eye
of one pink fairy passing by
and with a smile and fluttered wing
her lovely voice began to sing.

I knew right then that all was well
about their dance where petals fell
for in their graceful moonlit sway
the Autumn came that night to stay.

Beautifully sweet and innocent Pamela. I think you write simple poetry as well as you write much more complex poetry. You are truly an all-rounder. Bravo

    Beautiful

I have missed reading your poems Pam. Such a beautiful poem to read first one to have read in months. You are a shinniny star in your poetic growth over recent time. No one more deserving than you to have achieved this level of skill. You have certainly earned it.
