Thank you, Mina ji My mom's health is much better today. I'm so happy. She is able to walk slowly now. Yesterday we got her downstairs to see the tv and have dinner. She herself felt so good.

Oh shoot...#26 was just filled no more than 10-15 minutes ago. What I did once the "sunrise" sort of quilt images were going, going until almost gone was reserve you #11 thinking it appeared something of sunrise against a blue misty sky--(and I kinda liked the blue center since blue was my own Grandmother's favorite color).

If I've sold you on Quilt Block #11 and it's OK by you, I'd love to post your haiku there, but I'll always keep in mind that it was #26 you had intended...

    Let me know, OK?

It's such a gentle image you've drawn through this haiku, Char. Though my Grandmother didn't quilt, she did crochet and embroidered and she embroidered EVERYTHING from dishtowels-to-pillowcases. It's gotten that these linens are worn so thin I don't even use them anymore, but I do keep them and to come across them in the linen closet, or even to think of them as I am now, it is to see her smiling.

Thank you so much for this eloquent entry to the contest, and again your contribution to the haiku-quilt.

I don't see you have noted a quilt-block number for this post, so if you'll let me know to which you'd like this entry posted of those remaining, I'd appreciate.

    Thanks again!

    Jo

Hi Jo! This 'ku was inspired by the haiku written by mina nagi for this contest. But, also picture/image number 26 to some extent has inspired it.

Lovely to know about your Grandma. My Grandmom's clothes too remain with us for the same reason as yours.

      A BIG HUG,
      Charishma

Maybe a little elaboration? I thought this was lovely but it is slightly too vague for me.

Hi Tarja! Winter denotes sadness here...and seeing Mom's face means she is no more...I am seeing a reflection of her photo on the quilt in the winter sunshine. Hope this has made this poem more clear.

      Char

Thank you love... it does clear it up quite a bit.
