Lovely haiku! Beautiful imagery in your L3. I can just see the different colors and heights of flowers as a quilt. Nice alliteration L2, and a warm, lazy summer feel to the whole. Very enjoyable!

I really like how you drew on the image on the butterfly in this quilt-square and also evoked the word "quilt" within the same haiku! It's such a gentle, serene scene and very nicely written, Mommy.

Thank you again for this entry to the contest and contribution to the haiku-quilt!

    Jo

Thanks Jo for the kind words and applause. It's my pleasure to contribute to this fun, unique contest...I can't wait to see the quilt finished. It's been fun ready all of the entries - I've never seen so much "haiku" talent in one place before.

What a great job on this one! I have not mastered the Haiku- I am not one for syllable counting, sometimes, but not on a norm. hehe.

Best of luck in this contest!

Thank you sunshinegirl! Ahhh, you should try this form...for as well as you write, I'm sure you could pull off a nice one. I like experimenting with different form, especially short precise ones.

    Sweet

I can almost see the butterflies legs as they brush against a flower.
