    I think this is really beautiful. Wonderful resonance here! I can see this visual so clearly. Love the assonance and alliteration in the haiku. I think a hyphen is needed at the end of L2. Rest seems fine.

    Wonderful entry, Polly...Though my grandmother didn't quilt, she crocheted. She had stories of crochet/knitting circle meetings with friends every week and her purchases and stash of crochet-cotton that just feel to be part of each stitch of those crocheted doilies that were passed on to me. Quilt patterns sort of have a dual nature in not only the story of the quilter, but the pattern itself that you've drawn on well by this haiku.
