Chapter One part One THE GLOWING BALL

    Time travel has always been a long distant dream. So many people have written books and movies about it. No one acutally ever thought it possible to acheive it. That was until the year 2076.My name is Katrina Dawn, and this is my story.
    The rain pattered against the window, on a chilly October morning. I was startled awake by the annoying high pitched beeps of my alarm. "Man, I really don't want to get up!" I thought to myself. I knew I had to thou. My boyfriend Nicholas, had called last night all excited over something. So because of that, once again I had to get up early to go over to his lab. He was always making up some sort of new invention. Some pointless, others interesting,but it was always me who had to go test them out. Sometimes I think he cares more about them,than my wellbeing. We get along good but I don't think he really sees me as a person, just someone who tests his projects. The phone rings, breaking me from my thoughts. "Madam,Mr. Nicholas is on the line," my new high tech housekeeper informs me. Thanks, model 291. In this new age of techonolgy, we now have robot's who can think for themselves. Nicholas made mine especially for me.
    "Are you up yet?!" Yes Nicholas, I'm up...groaning inwardly. "Well hurry up over here then, I can't test this out without you," he yells. "I'll be right over, hold your horses geeze!" All he says before hanging up the phone is, "you have 10 minutes,"click. I hate how bossy he is! He treats me like a child. All of my friends think that I should get rid of him. I agree sometimes, but it's hard trying to find a nice smart guy in this time.
  "Finally you're here! I told you 10 minutes, not 20. I'm sorry Nicholas, but I had to take a shower and get dressed. That takes longer than 10 minutes," I complain, annoyed. Well no matter, you're here now. I see this glowing blue ball encased in glass. This must be the new project he wanted to show me. Looking at it thou I clue what it could possibly do. If I had known,I probably would have never touched it.
