Why does the sun shine, when everything else crashes at your feet?
When the world's in pieces, why does everything taste a little more sweet?
Why do you always jump, when they just say 'when'?
Omly to hear them shout 'just joking' again?
Why is it even brighter, when the darkness covers the moon?
Why is it, when you're ready to scream, you hear the same old tune.
Why does it feel like fire, burning in your soul?
Why does it feel like fire, when you know it's really coal?
Why do you dream on those sleepless nights, that evening turns into day?
Why is it when you need a friend, you holler "Just go away!"?
Why does red mean anger, when you know in your heart it means love?
Why, when you're a little kid, does a push equal a shove?
Why do sidewalk chalk drawings make you cry?
Why do you sob at the sound of little feet padding by?
What makes you cry, when you read "The Giving Tree"?
What scares you, about being so free?

I really liked this one...its diffrent and some how so ture in what it is saying.
Only one thing needs fixing (that i found) and that is int he fourth line you start it with Omly and I think you mean Only.
Keep the pen to the paper! -
Thoughtful
I didn't get all of your comments but most of them were right on the mark. I think you have a beautiful flow to the words, you have poetry in your heart.
