i want a guy to hold my hand as we walk down the street
i want a guy to say 'i love you' every day of the week
i want a guy who cries with me, a guy immensely sweet
i want a guy to kiss my lips, my neck, my head and cheek.

i need a guy who opens up, shows me all of him
I need a guy to hold me tight, as i show him what's within
I need a guy who loves me for who i am, not care I'm not size zero slim
I need a guy to look in my eyes and say this is when life begins

I crave a guy who just knows when i need him by my side
I crave the guy who can debate all the little things about life
I crave a guy who knows what I'm thinking by looking deep into my eyes
I crave a guy who will love me forever and make me his wife

I want a guy who would give his life just to see me smile
I want a guy who would vow to love me, for the rest of time
I want a guy to trust me completely, not put me on trial
I want a guy that would help me conquer any mountain i had to climb

Author notes

I always had so many theories about love, so many expectations,
but now i know that love is not perfect, you never everything you want
but it is magical, and makes you feel like the special girl in the world, and this poem is what i see love as now, it is all the reasons that i love my bf, despite everything we have been through we are still together and i love him more than life.

    Very moving piece. Love is a strong bond no matter who it's between. This is great. It can be taken by anybody. Since I am a lesbian I can't say oh I want a guy like that but I do know that a girl who is like that is good. I found my girl. I am glad you found your guy who is not the typical strong man I guess you could say. Thanks for entering and good luck.
