With feline quickness
It enters without notice,
An innocent family unaware
That their home is the latest
To be victimized by the furry thief.
A ball of yarn, a can of tuna,
Or even the mouse that resides there
Is all exposed for the taking.
While the whiskered criminal goes about
Its business of seeing all and taking all,
The unsuspecting family goes about theirs.
Then its mission is complete,
And it scurries back through the window
To look for another victim.
Families be forewarned,
For you may be next.
