Fake Facade

Can someone help make sense of this haze?
My thoughts are speeding in all directions.
Tugging me back and forth, swirving to all sides,
Spinning faster with each breath.

My emotions taking full control,
Using drugs as an esape.
My heart tells me one things, my mind another,
How am I to make the right decision, no regets?

Putting up a fake facade of happiness,
Never allowing anyone the slightest glimps.
Change is unfamiliar, unsafe and painful,
I would rather take control and go wild.

After a few shots of tequilla and a few beer,
I'm off to find blow, that perfect white powder.
Gleaming delicately in thick lines waiting,
Up my nose and off I fly with no worries.

I can't seem to find that mind-blowing high,
The one where all you feel is pleasure, relief.
I say no to drugs, attempt to resist,
Temptation sets in, I'm broke and days have passed.

    Oh man

I know how that is like the life of drugs and the painful addiction that comes with it. I know how ti is because I found cutting and doing drugs as my way of getting rid of my problems ad worries but it just lead to more. any ways well this is a strongly penned and well formed poem my friend. It is sad that the desire to quit just reverts back to temptation and the need to have more. My opinion to break the addiction you need to really well find a new pattern or something that is better than this and try to work with that. any ways nice write and well penned. keep up the good work.
