I'm a big girl now
And no matter how much you may think I'm a baby
I don't need you to protect me from the world
I can look after myself and have been doing so for many years now
At one point in my life
I did need you to be the grown up
The one who looked after me
But I don't need that anymore

I already have a father
And I don't need you
I already have someone else acting like my father
I don't need you to do so as well
I don't need you to protect me
I just need you to love me

I may be the baby of the family
But I am not a baby
