shine for you

and this sun refuses to
hide your
soft pale gloriousness. even
its angles bow to such a
pristine canvas as this.  i
stayed awake for what seemed
days, but the sunshine both my
saving grace and my

prison. walked along the
ocean shore and found you in a
thousand waves, buckling to the
shoreline. i broke like smoke and
dissipated like the tide, and you

drifted away, my
solitary cloud

one of the magical things about your poetry is that you always make me "feel" it...and so delicately and so beautifully and so subtle that i don't even realize its happening til i'm done reading.
    nice
