Anything I'll Do

As I search through old photographs and remember those old conversations,
My heart aches for the time before this burden was placed upon our souls.
I remember the laughs we all used to have,
The love we all used to share with each other with pride.
I know that I cannot live in the past,
But that doesn't stop me from wishing desperately I could just be their friend again,
It doesn't stop me from wishing I could take back all the things I said,
Though regret and sorrow doesn't mend the wounds I inflicted.
I'm reduced to begging for some sort of notice,
Any sort of emotion is better than this silent and cold hell.
Anything I'll do to make it better.
I'll swallow my pride and hold back my tears,
Just to see the sun shine once again in my heart,
Just to see those smiles that I love.

This is dedicated to all of the friendships and relationships I've lost in the past. I just wish somehow that I could bring it all back, because that was true happiness.
