Lord, it is with shame and unworth
that I bow before your throne,
knowing that in the past day
I've not lived as one who
calls himself your child.
I know and continue to believe
that you will see the depth
of my grieving and ashamed soul,
and that with your Father's love,
you will have compassion on me.
Lord, in the past day I have
entertained thoughts, spoken words,
and made some pitiful choices;
it saddens me more that once again
I need to place at your feet those
that I knew full-well were wrong.
My Lord, I bring to you these sins,
and I am truly ashamed, even in knowing
that just the other day I said and did
the same, and now I am back again
as if I cannot keep my word and willingly
want to wonder from your path -
forgive me Father, as I have
sinned - I am in need of your Love.
Amen

Ah Frans ... you have me right at your side ...
writing with you the words of lament ... How well I understand these words ... How well I know the sorrow of the heart who truly loves Him but who often crucifies Him by words and deeds ...
An honest poem, deeply sorrowful, and a poem asked by God himself: repent, and be blessed.
We need but turn to God in all of our stumblings, and He is there to uplift us, hold us to his Breast.
Thank you, my friend for a wondrous moment of humble loving and trust and tears, in order to become resurrected and healed.
Love
Myra
