Like a drink of water on a hot summer day
So is a friend that makes your day
I know Because I have met
Wonerful people that make me forget
About all those that didn't care
but should've
Who were not there but could've
I look up at the same stars in the night sky
And ponder how and why
Your precious path came across mine
at the right time
It's as if no gift will do
For what they give you
Often just a smile or words when you feel low
How do you reward someone who helps you grow
Into something more beautiful than you were before
What do say so they can have more
Of whatever they need
yet understand the gift is mutual indeed
For every kind word you expressed
And you I blessed
By the desire I have to
breath happiness into you
I recieved the blessing too
