Uplifted spirits, a joyous life,
Feelings of love and understanding.
All of these are important aspects,
Of which my life is lacking.
I live in Hell, at least it seems,
For nothing could be worse than this.
My will to live has dissipated,
What’s left for me is a great unknown.
I’ve lost my friends, shattered the bonds,
My family is gone and dead to me.
There’s no one left, not a soul to care,
So what’s to stop me from ending it all?
It doesn’t matter if I die today,
For all it’s worth I don’t exist.
Elements and matter unseen by all,
A mere pigment of society’s imagination.
I’ll take this time to say goodbye,
Leaving behind my pitiful existence.
With my death the world progresses,
My worthless matter converts to something useful.
I’ll give a chance to stop these actions,
Too bad my words remain unheard.
A final farewell to life as I know it,
Please God, let there be no afterlife.

The first rhyme, understanding and lacking, kind of ruined the flow for the whole thing. But I like the wording, and it actually had realism, not just fancy wordplay. Good job, and grats on the gold.
