Kids disregard her feelings
she runs off to her parents
She may not be appealing
No excuse for such events
She hides in her dear closet
knowing no one is around
the worst kids she's ever met
spend their days making her frown
She sheds yet another tear
remembering their awful faces
She wonders why she should fear
all her most precious places
In the end, she can't take it
all the murmurs and secrets
her heart in her hands, she slits
Drops fall but still no regrets
she runs off to her parents
She may not be appealing
No excuse for such events
She hides in her dear closet
knowing no one is around
the worst kids she's ever met
spend their days making her frown
She sheds yet another tear
remembering their awful faces
She wonders why she should fear
all her most precious places
In the end, she can't take it
all the murmurs and secrets
her heart in her hands, she slits
Drops fall but still no regrets
Author notes
I used to be bullied, I know how much it hurts. And I've seen so many reports on school shootings now that it kind of reminds me of those days. But, these are the other kind of people, who hurt themselves instead.

Well, this is not ...
just a micro-personal subject, since bullying is so prevalent in this society, particularly since the neo-nazi right took over our government in 2000. It's become accepted practice for anybody in a majority to abuse anybody who's a minority. Rather disgusting, but that's the way it's turning out to be.
Your writing is very simplistic, and hopefully will improve with practice, but your heart is obviously in the right place, and the rest will come in time. Thanks for entering the contest.
