Feeling cozy on my bed,
I switched off the lights.
It was time for me to sleep,
After a taste of the Halloween Day frights.
I forgot all about them,
And started dozing.
With only a candle as a source of light,
And my face towards it, facing.
Just then I heard something,
Too scary to be.
It was the clash of the windows,
Could someone ever be foolish than me?
I closed my eyes,
Expecting a good dream.
With a candy floss inside my mouth,
I dreamt of becoming the captain of my school team.
Engrossed in my dream,
I felt the legs of my spider dolly.
Keeping it aside,
Downstairs, I heard my brother playing with his toy trolley.
Among his toys was a ghoul,
With what he petrified me on all Halloween nights.
Trembling on my bed, I heard his trolley moving towards my room,
Expecting the worst, I switched on the lights.
It was my brother,
With his friends, the small kids.
All their toy monsters they had,
It scared me out of my wits.
I had been scared by a bunch of little monsters,
Neither a ghost nor a witch.
I looked at the moon and watched her being lonely among the darkness,
Still pure and rich.
Alas, I had been too foolish,
And changed myself to a brave man from a dummy.
But suddenly, I heard the noise once again,
This time I yelled out "Mummy!!!!"
