I met her in a playground,
When we were five,
She wanted to be friends,
For the rest of our lives.
We thought it would last,
And it did for years,
Til a boy came in,
And made my eyes bleed tears.
She was fine for a while,
Til he became her friend,
And then for me and her,
It was the end.
'Cause I was jealous,
Of the two of them,
I wanted to be,
The better friend.
So I made
Some stupid decisions,
And I thought,
I had a reason.
But it's never right,
To lie to a friend,
'Cause after it all,
That'll be the end...

It's obvious that the emotion expressed is honest and pure. I think the rhythm was a little off at times, but it was still excellent nonetheless.

This was a good read. It flowed well. It seems that we always learn what we are supose to learn, but we always learn it just a little to late. Jealousy, in my mind is a very foolish emotion that we all become prey to. You portrayed that thought well in this poem.

i too have been jealous of my best friend and her boyfriend... i never said anything he always stressed her out so i tried by best not to... i hope you and friend have patched things up and are still friends today... friends should never let a boy or girl come between a friendship... boyfriends come and go... friends are forever... i wish you luck with everthing

agreed. I realy have never had something like this happen to me, but i can see it,well picture it with what you have written here. It is never good to lie anyhow, by the way the background is awesme. And it is sad how sometimes the bestest of friends let some guy walk in and ruin their frriendship.
