Dear God below you see this world you gave
once full of beauty, and gracious life
That we have destroyed by our ungratefulness
and selfishness.
Our waters that hold life and our thirst are
now so dangerous to taste .
Our trees that give us shelter, are now replaced
with metal frames.
Dear God not only have we destroyed your beauty
but we care not of our children's future
we walk and there is no were you can find
not scattered by waste
Our wildlife is forced to these city streets
and slaughtered not to be ate but
considered a danger.
And dear God when we are all dieing of thirst
and hunger in the end, because of our
own selfishness let there be a picture shown
of once what was given so
graciously.
Forgive us Lord

I wonder what Eden was like. I hear the air was thick enough that walking through it was all the exercise we would need. We [man] are SO short sighted. Good work.

What a wonderful prayer. We can only hope that more people wake up and see the world as you do each and every day. It's a pity to see how far uphill we have
climbed in out lives. Destroying the very world that we live and breathe in every day. Great job with this one and congratulations to you on this gold trophy! A well deserved write! Keep up the wonderful work here!

Beautifully sad and so thought provoking.
You bring up a lot of great points in this one.
It's a terrible thing that we do what we do to
the earth and to each other every day. If only
we all had enough courage and love inside to sit
down and write a letter like this to the Lord
every day. I am sure that things would change
for the better. I love where your heart is in
this poem. Well done and all the best to you
with it in this contest! Thanks a lot for
sharing it here and keep up the wonderful work!
