Joceania Monrovia Springs-Acrostic

Joceania you are the pride and joy of my life
Opening my heart and life to you has changed me in so many ways
Caring for you and getting to know you every day is a blessing
Every day I work to find a way to make you smile
Always so positive despite your illness and the fatigue
Never letting it overpower and get the best of you
I am so proud to be your friend and caregiver
After all that we've been through, you've become my greatest friend

My heart goes out to you every day and night
Only you know the pain and sorrow that you feel
Never give up on your life my friend, for I'll never give up on you
Reach for the stars and know that the sun will shine again tomorrow
Open your eyes and see the beauty that surrounds you every day
Very slowly but surely your heart, mind, and body will heal
I have always believed in you and look at how far you have come
A part of you will always remain deep within my soul

So please don't be discouraged, for I will always be here for you
Praying and hoping for only the very best for your health
Remember that you can always turn to me if you need a friend
I will be here waiting for you with open arms
Never feel lost and alone in this world again
Greet each morning with a smile and know that everything will be alright
Stay strong and always remember that I'll always love you, Joceania

Young Love
Joceania Monrovia Springs
The Secret

This Acrostic Poem is written for a very beautiful and strong-willed young woman that I had known for over 15 years. She was a professional model for many years until the day that tragedy struck her life. She was involved in a drive-by shooting and survived for a few months. She was slowly getting back on her feet when she succombed to a terrible disease last year. I miss her dearly. Her name was Joceania (JO-SHIN-YA) Monrovia Springs.

Thanks a lot for reading this one and I appreciate your comments and thoughts on it.

So sad and beautiful. When we write a memorial poem for someone special it helps them to live on because the essence of them sparks anew.

Such a deep heartflt poem that you have shared with us here - such a sad situation, on always wonders why certain people are always in th wrong place at the wrong time. So much said in this acrostic - I am sure that writing brings her close and reminds you of her often. Well written acrostic poem.

WoW! This is such a tragedic experience that you have shared with us. I am so sorry that you had to endure this, but I also think that it is sweet that you wrote not only a poem, but an acrostic poem using her name as a dedication for someone who obvisouly meant a lot to you. I would definately consider this a winner...not that my opinion means anything Thank you for such a heart stopping read. Best wishes to you dear poet in your contest.
