Good night sweet angel,
for it's time for you to sleep.
The warmth of your smile and
memory of your face I shall forever keep.
I lay you now in your
final place,
wiping the tears
that roll down my face.
Your little hands
so stiff and cold,
your little body I long to hold.
To feel your breath
upon my cheek,
to hear you laugh
is what I seek.
Good night sweet angel,
for it's time for you to sleep.
I can not count the
the tears I shall weep.
Your tiny toes sit perfectly
straight.
I renounce those who
say this was your fate.
I shall miss our times
that we have shared.
This day I always feared.
I never knew it would
happen so fast,
I wanted your life to
forever last.
