The sun is now held captive
over nebulous shadows of twilight
the only light that shuns eerie darkness
is my room
I rest in my bed
thinking nothing of the opaque night
I sit on my bed bored
The only entertainment, looking into the night
As I look I see
a phantasm figure lurking
lurking in the ominous trees
calling me to come closer
The evanescence of the figure shunned me
As I jumped out my window in question
As I came closer the image was clear
a skeleton decaying on the tree
I looked up
Suspending on the tree
as it hanged there
emotionless, the sight, breath taking
As I heard crackling
The sound of the eerie cracking
soon it fell
as I saw the skeleton fall flat on to the earth
Slowly, it got up
moving bones in himself
As it ran away into the beautiful
ebony night twilight
I followed but the pace of me
was slow
I heard a faint thank you as I saw his soul
go home
Into the darkness
displayed the skeletons grave
grasping the shovel
resting himself in the hole
I did my little prayer
and said rest in peace
as I said amen
I went home
and went to sleep

Impressive piece! The imagery is really rich and I like the vocabulary you've chosen as well. I agree, you did a marvellous job on this. I wouldn't touch it, it's a masterpiece.
