Is it your playful nature...or maybe it’s your charm?
What is it that makes me want to be with you tonight?
I'm drawn to you; are you as drawn to me?
May I hold you close, intimately?
I'm drawn to you like a moth to a flame
I'm drawn to you; do you feel the same?
Near the flames you’ve dared to fly,
Heedless of the scorching heat
Though your wings are singed with soot,
You hover closer still
Do you crave the fiery passions?
Is it the danger you desire?
Why would such an angel,
Fly so close to the burning fire?
If your heart is pure,
It will withstand the heat
For raging blood runs hotter still,
It can quench the searing fire
You beckon me to come,
With arms spread open wide
My head laid tight against your chest,
You wrap me up in love
You lift my broken, tattered wings
To be healed in passion’s flames
So that we may soar together
To bask in love forevermore

Beautiful write. The last two stanzas, the parts of wrapped up in love and soaring made me think of angels and of how love can help people feel better about life.
