    Eternal life is another name for the butterfly..... that's where the word eternity comes from, Gabby. Also, your idea is perfect. I love it when people take a second on one of my short poems and really look it over. Thanks!

    its such a smiple sweet peom.its gives sucha great sense of everything that i guess u were thinking about when u wrote it.i really thought it was good.i like the part

    I like how you put the fact about eternity and that is represents eternal life to the american indians, it made me think about this a little bit..nice write.

    I, myself, don't see that, but, on their parts it is a nice thought and idea. Tho, I am sure most cultures have things similar, like on the flowers thing, the different kind of roses.

    Anyways, a lovely piece that you have written here.

    I just saw a butterfly on my flowers awhile ago
    And a hummingbird too
    Hate to see the beautiful creatures soon leave
    Maybe just for a few more days
    We'll be able to see the wings a while longer
