alright, 1. I admit to being hypocritical about it. Have to state that when I need to because people obviously skipped that part.
2. this is a rant, about how people write their poetry or about the things they post. you skipped over all that (like most of the people down there did) and picked at what you WANTED to see which is the "good GOD i hate ranting, and i'm being hypocritical..."
the thing is, you people pick and choose at it way too much, that you submisively create your own thought about what it really means, and for the majority of you, that's what you've done. you're missing the big picture.

yes, i know that people can use allpoetry in their own way. that's why they gives us many options like private chats, IM, chatterbox and so on. yea, the messages aren't something everyone reads. i'm talking about the actual posts that people put as poetry. when they say "add poem", i would assume that you're actually adding a poem, not a conversational piece intended for one person to read, but there for all to comment on. what i mean by this, is that if i were to post poems all the time, telling certain people how i feel about them, would you want to read it? would you REALLY want to read how i feel about someone, me saying the same thing pretty much in every poem posted, with a different title, a different description, and few changes for variety? no, you'd quit reading. my statement: what's the point in having a poetry site to share poetry with everyone, if all you're going to do is post "poetry" to a certain person when you can flat out tell them in IM's, or emails, or in person, and not give people the vision, the true feeling.
you won't feel the passion of love in you, you won't picture a beautiful scenery, if all you're reading is "so and so, i love you please don't ever leave me i don't know what i'd do if you died" -

alright so i went back and looked at all my poems. one of them is a joke between me and a friend, that we felt like sharing with people. and one of them is an actual letter i gave to dalton, that i figured my friends would want to know what was going on. but those are the only two i think that pertain this. and as for ALL of my poetry, there's very VERY few that go the same way i'm complaining about.

By saying what I said, what makes anyone think I WANT them to care about mine? It's simply a statement, something I wished to get off my chest. I didn't ask people to comment, I didn't ask for opinions, I didn't ask for people to read this, and I didn't HOPE anyone would read it either. The fact that they read it, and they submitted their opinions, just shows that they feel like stating their side, or they do care. Either way, i put a statement out, and many took it the wrong way. many MANY are still taking it the wrong way.

I stated my fact, yes, in an angry manner, but i'm also trying to make the statement clear which people aren't understanding. i'm not just lashing out for nothing. i repeatedly have said so far "this is allpoetry" write it out in a poem not a "talk out to them" way. that's what poetry is for. so i'm making a statement but obviously it's being taken the wrong way. then again what can i do if the words don't spell it out clearly.
