Spun Stories In Leaden Silk

Missing image

Spiderwoman unravels ball of yarn;

slicked colors of old stories
knotted, woven, strung
web like silver slivered wires
for man to swing  like leadened
weight, hand over hand heave
back to heaven’s hard reality.

    Fascinating imagery! You have taken a common image-the web--and have used it in quite a unique way. I love the idea of man swinging upon the threads as leaden weight, as well as the amazing paradox of the last line! Great entry!
