For A Rogue

For A Rogue

This man is like a breath of fresh air

He blows all my cobwebs away,

His words can be loving or funny

He’s a great way to start the day!

To say that he is eccentric

Would not be telling a lie,

His waistcoat so shiny and loud

A feast to excite the eye.

He has his much quieter moments

All silliness put to one side,

When talking can be such a pleasure

His love he just doesn’t hide.

He’s a sort of a ‘Jack of all trades’

A poet and ‘master of none’,

A character delighting the world

A rogue and a lover in one.

    rogues and lovers...

As I don't own a waistcoat I'll assume the gentleman in question is someone else! Very well written Suzie Q! A fine tribute to someone you obviously like very much! He will be delighted with this I'm sure!

He's a lucky man whoever he is, to have this lovely tribute paid to him and on such a pretty background too. Nice one Sue.

I may be a rogue but I'm rarely a thief
To call me a lover may beggar belief
But praise from praiseworthy I'll take with a grin
And then a new poem I expect I'll begin!
