Taking one day at a time
And each minute as it comes
I face my world, chin up
Listening to the mockingbirds hum
No matter what life might throw at me
I take it all in with a simple grin
For nothing can bring my spirit down
Happy and loving is all I've ever been
Like tulips growing in the spring
And the rain tapping on my face
I am happy to start each and every day
Remembering just how to me, the day was gave
So smile when you meet someone on the street
And maybe even give them a little "Hello"
You just might be surprised of the reaction
And never that day, shall you feel low
Author notes
Put a smile in your day...you'll be happy you did!

Aww, I love pretty poetry that reminds us to enjoy the small things...

This is a very optimistic poem, which doesn't really suit my more realist tastes but it makes a very good argument to converting to optimism
Well done!

Precious,
Every moment in time we take to share with other hearts that may need to read such inspiration as you pen it so wonderfully with your heart of gold. I can only speak for myself, I truly love the heart you pen with.. but I'm sure all who know you feel that way as well. Thanks for the light you share here. Much love hun, peace, Timothy aka poeticweaver~
