And her delicate feet
Fit in well, as if made just for them..
On charming sandals, they took their seat.
In awe watched the crowd
Jealous eyes stealing glimpse
Of graceful toes standing proud.
There he stood, her man of dreams
Prince Charming alighted straight
From a chariot decked with gleams..
With all his love, he has come, he said
To confer the queen, who owned thy feet,
Carry her away and happily wed..
Her cheeks turned pink
As she trembled with joy,
And felt her heart slowly sink..
A treasured moment, captured to behold
With cheer, romance and the merging of dreams,
The timeless classic told and retold..
