Lovely girl filled up with innocence
can you breathe a little longer for this shot
Could you dance a little faster
While we inscribe all your apologies
On the paper stained with everything your not
So etch words into your canvas
Light up their eyes with just one look
Fake is in dear, just like their lies and sinful looks
Can you pose a little straighter
Now point your skull closer to the gun
So we can paint in red his strategy
To finish this mess you have begun
Calm yourself my pretty picture
You must not shatter your decor
Inhaling fire like the paper
You keep hidden beneath you bed
just in case you push down to far
Beautiful face done up so lovely
Little figure on your walls
The perfect image being crafted by your will
Don't hold it down the want you small, so small
You've got lying down to basics
With that cigarette smoke burning your eyes
And you've got hiding down to science
maybe if you wasted away in front of them
Maybe then they could see your disguise
So tonight stay up with your covers masking the partial truth
And a letter covering the place where ink blotted out your heart
The truth is your ripping under all that paste
Holding you together so they don't see
The broken and cheated girl hidden behind that face
So tomorrow you can dance a little faster
And smile at the naive filled adoration of the crowd
You are a prisoner to the almighty master
Made up faces, kisses and lies
beg mercy daring for the pulpit sings
Smile on artificial, smile, hate and die

Wonderfully done! A beautiful example of dirty/pretty...so lovely yet so sad. The ending is excellent, for the fake smiles and mask we hide behind can not last forever...yet we always try for one more day. Still seeking love and acceptance from those we love.
Perfectly done.
Thank you for entering!

wow you just blew me away with the beauty of this..
Its amazing how you used all those metaphors, and what is really weird is that I didn't know what I was reading while I read it, but then everything came together at the end, it was lovely!.
