False front happiness covers misery
If eyes were windows to the soul
Hers were boarded closed
A smile painted eternally
Frozen to the face to cover pain
Every seemingly carefree movement
So painfully thought out
She contemplates everything now
One misstep causes a downward spiral
She can’t take another slide
Laughter so liltingly carefree
Burns and scars her throat with lies
It’s so easy to fake the one thing she wants
And no one can tell the difference
