G.S. - **I'll Be By Your Side**
Mother, Mother don't you cry, I'll be here by your side. Take my hand, take my shoulder, I know that you dearly loved her. Tears streak down upon her face, Sobbing deeply in my embrace. She is with us still you know, See the time the clock bestows. Mother, Mother don't you cry, I'll be here by your side.

you have to read grandmother series I , We'll Miss Her to understand the clock thing. But I'll explain since my grandmother died things seem to pop up to remind us of her, for instance the time on the stove may say 10:29 when you look, it was her birthday, or a song of hers will play when we are feeling down in the dumps, or thinking about her.

Just a treasured series this is....
You have done something extraordinary for your mom. These are words written from the heart. I'm so glad you see your grandmother's signs. I have no doubt that your grandmother has read this entire series many times, silently over your shoulder, because that's just what grandmothers do.

A very lovely poem for a very beautiful woman. We all hold our maternal sides dear, and this poem is such a wonderful homage. Fantastic job, and I am sure she would be proud.
Blessed be,

I remember my mother crying at the cemmetary service when her mom had died. Then my youngest brother began to weep. Then more of us did so. We so wanted to comfort her.
My own Mom died almost 2 years ago. I have a several poems about her, but the one I like the most is "Held in His Arms". Like you grandmother, she was ready to die, and go to a better place.
Good write.
