What More Could I Say

What more I could say?
You’ve heard it all
You get earful of words
Pouring selfishness rain
Laying heart’s desire cards

Using language of choice
Picking the right vocabulary
Expressing the dire needs
But you know better
The wanting desires are well dressed
With gowns of beautiful words

I am but the one to belong to this world
As selfish as it could be
Though with your blessed hand
Shading me from blazing firey pain
Even when I looked away
Thinking, believing I left you far behind

But right when I was to fall down
In the darkest alley in the town
Listening to echoes of my cries
Banging against the cracking thick walls
Only to swim in their own blood
I find you standing, holding me
Giving the needed support like always

What more can I say
But ask for more, once again
I’m your own creation
Living in our created selfish world
Where we remember you in need
And you are always there like a true friend in deed

So, here I ask more, yet again
To accept my thank you
It’s heartfelt, I’m not sure
Is this vocabulary with hidden meaning
I can’t say for certain
All I know is that I thank you
For all your blessings
Coming into my life alive
Surrounding me with selfless love
By being my family and friends

Thank you Lord
For coming to stay for now and for ever

    Just lovely as always sis, it is a pleasure to read your peices and hope all is well with you, I get to wear my blue shawl out for the first time on Friday to the Best and Fairest Dinner Dance, I am sure it will draw gasps from everyone and I can tell them all how great my sis is! Love, C
