What would happen
If I went against time
Would I shatter the distance
Or break my own rhyme
Would I take 3 steps
But lose many more
Would I see myself reflected
On a black wooden door
What would happen
If I chose my own fate
Would I lose all I know
And feel only hate
Would I never smile again
Or see a single star
Would I walk many miles
But never go far
What would happen
If I could live forever
Would I be any braver
Or be any clever
Would I still be smart
And still be kind
Would I always stay sane
Or lose my mind
What would happen
If I refused to die
Would I feel any pain
Or want to cry
Would I choose to die
And see what death holds
Or choose to live
And live a life cold
What would happen
If I went against time
Whose life would end first
Yours or mine

This is a wonderful poem & I love your topic, but I am not sure how it fits my contest.
