Angel's Got My Back

Running from monsters, I launched myself
Over my child gate in the hall.
Flung myself but felt no pain,
Could've been a nasty fall.
Fell down the stairs once when i was young,
Rolled down the second half.
Didn't really hurt that much,
And afterwards we laughed.
Leant back on the tree swing Dad had made,
Fell backwards off the seat.
To my surprise and shock though,
I had landed on my feet.
Stood alone behind the treeswing,
How, i cannot tell.
Both hands neatly upon the rope,
Thinking, what the hell?!
The worst i've had is a broken toe,
And a very awful flu.
A chest infection that felt like death,
But of course i made it through.
Like i always have done with everything,
I know that i am blessed.
A loving familly, and you to protect me,
Even when life's a mess.
My angel, my guardian, there when i need you,
I sometimes feel you near.
Although i cannot see or touch you,
I know that you are here.

Author notes

I consider myself very lucky with the life i have. Blessings upon everyone who deserves to be blessed. (i always say that before sleep).

How does this make you feel?

    This is very sweet!

I can really identify w/ your poem. I lost my brother, who was my triplet, when we were ten months old, in a way, I consider him my guardian angel, according to my mother him and I were very, very close. She says that ever since he died I have been a different person. I believe he is the reason I am still alive, there have been many times when I have considered suicide but something, someone, stops me, keeps me safe. I believe we can contact the dead, I want to try it out. hehe. Anyway, I digress, this write was bloody amazing! Please keep it up!
