Sometimes it's hard to express what I'm feeling
At times the hurt just has me reeling
I wonder sometimes if I'll ever overcome
This dreadful dark cloud that blots out the sun
Sometimes I feel like I could walk for days
And then I wake up in a mind-numbing haze
And I can only see with my Mind's eye
All of the people living a lie
Sometimes I hurt people without a plan
Give them a reason to misunderstand
Let them believe I don't give a care
When the truth is I'm just buried in Fear
Sometimes late at night the Moon talks to me
She doesn't use signals the real world can see
Instead She comes to me in my dreams
And fills my head with all sorts of things
Sometimes I look at a bright, deadly blade
And all I can think is how well it was made
But then come the times when I'm so lost in thought
I'm borrowing trouble that I should have bought
Sometimes I wish I could just close my eyes
And never wake up til I'm in Paradise!

A great simplistic yet deep poem constructed here. It has just the right amount of elements to it to get you thinking for yourself.
True to say that people experience this, some more occur ant and complex than others..but it's a part to life that we all must unfortunately face for the balance to live.
You've established it nicely,

Good flow, rhythm and rhyme in these couplets. Works well for this poem. I am sure many of us have felt this way, and you have expressed those sentiments very well in these lines. We can't just dream our life away, but need to pull ourselves out of that deep hole, and reach for the light. Positive thinking, being an optimist helps.
