A longing for love

How lovely it seems to be loved
To have a reason to live
How I long to be loved tenderly, dearly
I don't mean petty, listless love
But true, lustful romance
Where for once I am considered a delicate flower
Graceful and soft
In a world where beauty is like a box
A box that I am outside of
A lover whos love endures forever
A lover not shy yet kind and curteous
With a kiss that could turn coal to gold
I know he exists that I am sure
For he loves another

That's quite an unexpected twist at the end... This poem looks very tender and sweet, all the beautiful lines you captured there and so on, but that last line gives a u-turn to the feel... very well done!

Thank you for entering the contest - I wish you the best of luck

The last line of this really brought it home. It read as if you were dreaming of someone, but when you got to the end you let it be known that there is someone like this out there, they are just not accesible to you in the way you wish them to be. Well penned and very creative!
