I Wear This Birch Upon My Wrist

I’ll sit here dreaming, dreaming away…
Waiting… for a supplement,
To fill this void.
Nothing but blank stares on their faces as they pass me by…
Sleeping, my dreams pass me by…
Empty… In the cold…
I plead a simple question… Where has my love gone?

An answer? Where is my hope?
I watch it fall…  I watch it slip away,
In a vacant unsteady trend the sun as it begins to set,
Cursing… screaming…
Dreaming…
I watch as the sun buries its head in my hands.

While I’m sleeping, sleeping on this pillow…
My world… lies… awake, with my eyes blood shot… I dream no more.

Where has it all gone, my reason to live…
My passion and my pain,
The sun and rain…

I’ll lay here piecing, piecing myself back together…

…Dead to the world…

Beauty in elegance and simplicity no longer just a jumble of words thrown together in hopes of meaning something.. You did a great job of incorporating a swell vocabulary as well as a good idea.

So beautiful job, thanks for the read, and keep on writing.
